The Rev. Eversley advises the Executive Board of the Eastern District of the Moravian Church of North America, of his intention to place before the Joint Board his conviction that Brooklyn has a spiritual and religious need for a new Moravian congregation. Simultaneously, members of First Moravian Church in New York City, who reside in Brooklyn, begin to consider the possibility of starting another congregation in Brooklyn.
