Fellowship Moravian Church is the realization of a shared vision of the Rev. Dr. Walter Eversley, at the time pastor of John Hus Moravian Church, and lay members of both First Moravian Church in New York City and John Hus Church in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The Joint Administrative Board assumes the responsibility of leadership. The congregation is spiritually nurtured through ministerial support of several Metropolitan pastors. Without dedicated full-time pastoral leadership, membership drops to about 64 communicants.

Fellowship Moravian Church calls its first full-time pastor, The Rev. Valrey Watson, of Stone Mountain Moravian Church in Georgia, who is installed in September 1991. Serving until April 1995, she leads Fellowship in establishing a Building Fund Campaign.
